You can find different acrylic textures to make terrains from a very smooth to rough final finish. You can add as many layers as you want to obtain the desired effect and mix them fresh with both acrylic paint and pigments. They are easily applied with a brush or spatula, and can be diluted with water. Once dry you can add any type of paint. Flat.-Pasta with fine and smooth grain texture. Medium.-Pasta with medium texture and roughness. Rough.-Paste with texture and high roughness.
